Starting in the early 16th century, rapiers became the sword of choice for European gentlemen, particularly because of its appealing grace and beauty. The Spanish translation of this sword's name means "a sword that is worn with everyday clothing." If you want to carry your rapier in a manner that matches its decorative – and defensive – value, our Renaissance Belt with Rapier Holder is the perfect accessory. The belt is made of black, 3 mm thick genuine leather and its stable metal buckle can be adjusted to fit almost every girth. The leather loop riveted to the belt fastens to the metal buckle on the rapier frog to connect the two pieces. The frog clips on to a metal loop connected to the leather loop. The rapier holder is also made of 3 mm thick, genuine leather. A curved, punched metal plate decorates the upper section Three straps with metal buckles at the bottom adjust to hold your rapier securely and you can also use it to carry rapiers of different widths.
