Originally, a bridesmaid went to the wedding to protect the bride by diverting the attention of evil spirits away from the bride. She also wore a beautiful dress to look enough like the bride to confuse any evildoers. Our Bridesmaid dress serves this purpose admirably. The floor-length, sleeveless underdress is made of lightweight white satin. Attached to it at the shoulders and neckline is an overdress made of net with a tiny milles fleurs patten embroidered in silver. The dress is cut simply with a slight flare at the bottom of the skirt and the sleeves. The scoop neckline is trimmed with fancy silver braid. The dress laces up the back and even has a modesty panel. A dream of a gown in virgin white!
