Product Description
A modern Indian woman – or one who has to do manual labor – might wear her salwar kameez in place of a sari. This outfit of loose trousers and a long tunic gives the woman wearing it lots of freedom of movement. The kurti tunic with side slits in our outfit is made of gleaming, wine red knit satin trimmed with gold at the neckline, hem and down the front. It has a narrow stand-up collar and a slit at the back with a hook and loop strip for easy access. The salwar trousers in mottled gold knit satin are baggy at the top and narrow at the ankles. They have a comfortable, elasticized waistband. The matching turban is pre-draped. Wear the dupatta shawl – in a small geometric print on a mottled orange velvet background – around your neck in the tradition manner, or drape it around your waist as shown.
