You can take your merry month of May – October is still the best month of the year. After all, around 6.9 million liters of balm for throats and eyes has been tapped at the Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany alone year after year since October 12, 1810. Our Oktoberfest Waitress costume is perfect for the approx. 17-day festival at the end of September. The weather is still warm and sunny in southern Germany at that time of the year! This halter dress with ties that hook at the back is done in colorful dirndl style. The off-the-shoulder blouse section has a completely elasticized neckline and an adjustable red satin drawstring at the front. The green lacing at each side of the cheerful yellow & white checked bodice is threaded through metal rings, but of course the dress has a zipper at the back. Traditional, floral-patterned trim is applied to the sleeves and skirt hem, which is also trimmed with a white lace frill. The red apron is attached at the top to the red waistband. Both parts are trimmed with yellow rick rack and a beer stein patch decorates the apron. The grass green skirt is very full and gathers into the waistband to flare proudly. The sweet, pre-tied hair bows on elastic bands are made of the same bright yellow fabric as the bodice. "O'zapft is!" as they say to kick of the festivities.
