Product Description
The French Crown gave corsairs permission to raid ships of countries at war with France. How romantic – especially when they are female and dress like our Red Corsair. She is wearing a Baroque-style dress coat in deep wine red with black & gold accents cut longer at the back. The deep collar is in gleaming gold and the black & gold lace trumpet sleeves have stiffening at the shoulders so they hold their puff. The neckline is completely edged with heavy gold braid and closes with clever plastic snap hooks studded with rhinestones. Below the waist, a ruffle of black lace emphasizes the gold trim. The mini skirt is in the same soft, golden stretch fabric as the collar. It has an over skirt of dainty black & gold lace. An approx. 7.5 cm wide stretch belt with a pattern in heavy, brass-look rings gives the dress coat an air of authority. The look is complete by a pirate hat in black velvet with black lace and gold trim, and long satin ribbons and golden gloves. Vive la France!
