Product Description

Made of approx. 3 mm thick leather plates, this black armor is pierced, has jagged edges, and features dull brass studs and rivets. The most impressive part is the magnificent breastplate with a piercing design at three places. The chest and side plates are riveted to fit over your pectorals perfectly and it has a long groin protector at the front. Two approx. 7 cm wide shoulder straps with metal eyelets and lacing a strap at either side connect it to the mighty back guard/hip belt. Four broad, pointed scales are riveted together to form the back guard, which buckles to the breastplate at the sides. The hip belt is one long piece of leather with a massive, adjustable buckle at the front. The side pieces (tassets) are also pierced and formed to fit your thighs. They come to a double point at the bottom. Put on the articulated shoulder guards after you have secured the breastplate and back ensemble – they buckle and tie to both front and back pieces. At the top, they have upright wings that serve as decorative neck protection and a piece of suede lines the bottom plate for protection against chafing. The bracers consist of a layer of smooth leather – shaped to fit right or left – riveted to a rectangle of suede with eyelets. They lace up to protect most of your forearm.
