HAND-CRAFTED CYLINDER: with cover made of elegantly shiny satin fabric (so-called "hat silk") and with durable stainless steel frame
MATERIAL: high-quality, light-resistant satin cover / hair felt hat body made of rabbit wool
FRAME: folding frame made of spring steel using tried-and-tested technology
INNER LINING: black moiré fabric
CREEP: covered with grosgrain ribbon
EDGE: hand-trimmed and covered
HAT FITTING: all-round band with classic hat bow

CARE: Store in a dry place away from dust. We recommend storing the cylinder in its unfolded state, as this relieves the strain on the folding mechanism and will keep it fully functional for many years.

The folding cylinder was developed in the 19th century to make it easier for the gentleman of the world to store this valuable but bulky accessory. The top hat can be folded with a flick of the wrist - or rather hand pressure - and opens with the typical "click" as soon as the brim is struck.
