The stiletto dagger is a simple yet deadly weapon. It was developed in Italy in the early 16th century and served primarily as a concealed weapon that could be easily hidden and used to inflict minimal external damage, such as causing heavy bleeding, but could deliver lethal internal injuries. This made it the ideal weapon for assassins.

The stiletto also carried the nickname "Misericordia" (Latin for Mercy) and in German-speaking regions, it was also referred to as the "Giver of Mercy," "Bringer of Mercy," or "Mercy of God." In other words, a rather morbid, historical blade.

Characteristic of the stiletto dagger is its very narrow, pointed blade and a straight guard that gives it a cross shape (hence the macabre nicknames). Its shape also made it well-suited for stabbing through chainmail and gaps in armor.

This foam stiletto dagger is a great secondary weapon for soldier-like characters or musketeers in LARP. LARP assassins, thieves, and other rogues will also appreciate it. Due to its foam core, the LARP dagger cannot deliver real-life stabbing, so safe indication of the attack is nessessary.
