This Traditional Villager costume stands for the outfit women in villages in the 19th century Austrian Empire might have worn. Golden lace is the material of the decorative peasant blouse, which has an elasticized, off-the-shoulder neckline. The long, flowing sleeves are elasticized at three places so you can arrange them as you please. The bodice with a short skirt is made of patchwork Jacquard in rich colors and fully lined. The square neckline is split by the lacing, which consists of a black cord and cloth loops. The floor-length skirt in black is trimmed with golden fringe. The lightweight, patterned fabric is woven to shimmer subtly. The petticoat is made of stiff fabric, so the skirt has as much volume as if you were wearing 10 petticoats underneath it. The headdress is a bonnet with a black ribbon tie and a long veil in magenta. A rich, ethnic costume from Central Europe.
