Product Description
As befits a princess of old, this imposing dress is floor length and made of apricot damask and rose red velvet. The Medici collar that plunges to the waist is faced with golden fabric and stiffened to stay high in the back. Red velvet dotted with pearly beads creates an attractive bodice and French gigot sleeves, which are stiffened to keep their puff. Alternating gores of damask and velvet are gathered into the elasticized waist seam to create the skirt. The panels, the collar, the rounded neckline, and the sleeve ends are outlined in magnificent gold trim. The skirt is lined with rustling wine red satin, and seems to be made for a hoop skirt or farthingale (sold separately). This noble dress has a long zipper at the back for easy access.
