Product Description
All Sultans are expected to wear noble robes, and this one is positively sumptuous in red, gold and black. The sleeves of the velvety, black coat end in a dramatic sweep of pale gold trim, which also decorates the front and the hem. The long sleeves of the roomy, antique gold tunic with a low collar band and hook and loop strip fastener have wide black and gold cuffs that show beneath the coat. The antique gold Sultan salwar trousers have an elasticized waistband and cuffs, and the padded belt in deep red crushed satin and gold is a good 13 cm wide. It fastens at the back with two snap fasteners. The soft padded turban matches the belt. The costume features a veil that shimmers red or gold depending on the light. Shimmering, sumptuous, stylish – what more could a Sultan seek?
