Product Description

Caliphs didn't need to claw their way to the top: as the spiritual and political leaders of religious communities, they already had it good. The elaborate outfit of this Caliph bears witness to his standing. Fastened with a hook and loop strip at the back of the neck, the top is a combination tunic and golden yellow shirt underneath. A sash is sewn firmly to it. The padded turban is a sign of the caliph's power, just like a king's crown. Thanks to the elastic ties in the waistband and cuffs, the trousers fit securely and comfortably at all times – as befits a ruler!
