Product Description
This elegant dress in wine red stretch velvet is worthy of a blue blooded sovereign lady. The sleeves alone are a very special work of art. They are slit on the outside from the shoulder to the wrists, bound by a 4 cm wide band of fine damask above the elbow, and edged with shiny golden trim. The inner sleeve is thin, flowing white chiffon with an elasticized wristband. The collar – which is stiffened and tightly gathered – and pointed front insert are made of the same white chiffon. The insert is held together by seven bands of delicate gold braid. The pointed waistline leads down to a skirt panel of the same elegant wine red & gold damask used to bind the sleeve.
A long petticoat with two tiers of gathered net gives the graceful, full skirt of our Sovereign Lady costume extra volume. The red & gold French hood is based on a hair band, and a flowing white chiffon veil is attached at the sides. The effect of dignified command is reinforced by the golden necklace with a fiery red rhinestone this lady wears at her neck.
