Crowned with blossoms, the May Queen rules over the folk celebrations that welcome back spring and summer. Our May Queen costume features golden velvet and very special fringed gold lame and is fully lined with subtly patterned satin. The floor-length dress has spectacular Juliet sleeves: reinforced velvet tops are pleated into the shoulder seams to form large puffs and taper into tight gold lame sleeves with fringe above the elbows. The square neckline is cut into a bodice made of the same fringed gold lame at the front.
Three daisies with green velvet petals and yellow centers decorate the high waistline and one also adds grace to each sleeve. the dress zips up the back. Keep the matching, gold-trimmed veil on your head using the headband decorated with blue and orange silk roses. What a lovely month is May!
PLEASE NOTE: Our May Queen dress is different from the one shown. The fabric is deep gold and has flowers as decoration. It comes with a veil and headband, not a golden crown.
