Kriemhild, the medieval heroine in disguise, is the princess who tricked Sigurd into marrying her according to the ancient Nibelungenlied. Called Gutrune in Wagner's Ring of the Niebelungen, she is sensual, alluring – and not above using magic to get what she wants. Our Princess Kriemhild dress is also magically sensual. The knee-length tunic has a rounded neckline and a slimming princess cut, and the broad, bronze and black patterned collar looks like heavy, antique gold. The long sleeves are made of crushed satin in dull pewter metallic look, and the deep cuffs and body of the tunic are black with a velvety texture. The tunic has a zip fastener at the back, a jagged hemline and two front slits up to the hips. Shiny golden lacing adds the finishing touch to the cuffs and goes through metal eyelets to connect the slits at the front. Made of the same brown/pewter, crushed satin fabric as the sleeves, the floor-length skirt with a drawstring waist has a comfortable, fluid feel. The head band matches the collar and adjusts to fit with an elastic band.
