Everyone knows that all monks do not sing Gregorian chants and brew beer when they are not sitting silently in their cells. Itinerant preachers in particular want the world to know about what they believe and when you go out in the wide world, it is good to be protected against all kinds of weather.
Our itinerant preacher is wearing a very wide robe made of unbleached, 100 percent cotton which creates a radiant contrast to the brown, gray and black robes other monks usually wear. The weave gives it an interesting texture, so you will attract the attention of ready listeners. Thanks to the generously cut cowl with a pointed hood, however, you will have plenty of room for inner reflection. The very wide, long robe (length approx. 152 cm from the shoulder seam to the hem) is belted with a matching unbleached cotton sash.
