Crusading, the act of retaking the Holy Land for Christendom, wasn't easy. You had to travel pretty far to meet the enemy. Knights and peasants alike heeded the call, but only the knights made it to Jerusalem. Many crusaders joined the Knights Templar, one of the top fighting units during the crusades, and donned their distinctive white surcoat with a red cross. This Crusader surcoat and cape are made of thick, 100 percent cotton – and both come with the obligatory red cross. For a perfect look, the outfit comes complete with a surcoat, braided woolen belt and white cape.
