During the Middle Ages, young blue-blooded girls were sent to the royal court to learn how to become noble ladies and to find husbands. They paid for their food and lodging in courtesy and submission to their royal mistresses. This floor-length gown in forest green viscose crepe is ideal for a chambermaid. It is lightweight, somewhat form-fitting because of the shapely princess seams and nape to waist lacing (with modesty panel) at the back, and flares gently outward from the hips. The modest scoop neckline is edged with a row of soft, white pleats. A long, golden sash adds more shine to the chaste medieval costume than a typical leather long belt would.
