Product Description
To the Romans, Neptune was the god of rivers, the sea, and horses – the Greeks called him Poseidon. Whatever his name, our dramatic Neptune's robe is more than worthy of a god. A distinctive crown made of padded golden fabric covered in shiny, green mesh, trimmed with gold braid and dotted with glittering amber rhinestones tops our Neptune. He wears a slightly flared, floor-length tunic of heavyweight cream-colored damask in a stylized seaweed pattern with wide, green & gold edging at the square neckline and the hem. The outer sleeves flare out at the bottom, which is also trimmed in green & gold, and are cut to hang. A cord belt in green and gold with fringed ends ties the tunic at the waist. The inner sleeves in the same cream damask are very form fitting.
The tunic has a zipper at the back. Neptune wears a toga in glittering green net over his tunic. A billowing ceremonial sash in turquoise and gold shimmering net trimmed with green and gold ribbon drapes across the tunic from the other shoulder. An aiguillette of honor snaps to the sash at the shoulder. Neptune will definitely rule the summer merrymaking in this outfit.
