Who says that you always have to toe the line? Surely not real colonial governors, because they establish the status quo instead of adapting to it! To fill this responsible, important position appropriately – at least on the exterior – a Colonial Governor just needs a dress coat, waistcoat and breeches. This dress coat is made of velvety chenille brocade in a masculine leaf/arabesque pattern. The beige, gold and black fabric is offset by cuffs and collar trim in dark brown imitation suede. The matching dark brown waistcoat front has a halter neck and ties at the back. The breeches match the dress coat – just the outfit for talking policy after dinner with port and a good cigar! PLEASE NOTE: This costume's color differs from the one shown. It is cold beige not orange, and the pattern is more sharply defined.
