"Ronin" is what samurai who have lost their lords – whether by death or by falling out of favor – are called. And even though a ronin is on his own, he still take pride in his appearance. This ronin is wearing a sleeveless, dark gold satin shirt with a contrasting white collar band. A decorative light golden tassel marks where the shirt meets in the middle and closes with three snap fasteners. The fully lined jacket with kimono sleeves is in matching dark gold satin with a border of decorative striped fabric in gold & tan. Insignias in crisp white decorate both sides of the front . The pleated hakama skirt matches the gold & tan stripe of the trim. It has a matching satin waistband with a small bow that fastens with hook and loop strips. Japanese zori sandals in matching striped fabric are also included. By the way, ronin did not have to shave their foreheads – just one more reason to choose this costume for your next party!
