Life on the plantations in the South in the days before the Civil War was much too hard for some and much too easy for others. This Confederate Lady obviously has it easy: her outfit is much too delicate to wear to work. Our Confederate Lady Scarlett OHara floor-length dress has a salmon pink bodice featuring an attractively wide V-neckline decorated with a printed chiffon bow. The sleeves are gathered into very full puffs at the shoulders and end in a billow of chiffon edged in shiny pink satin ribbon. The waistline forms a V at the front, and is elasticized for wearing comfort. The dress has a long zip fastener at the back. Below the waist, three deep tiers of chiffon edged with satin ribbon are sewn onto lightweight salmon pink crepe to form an airy, floor-length skirt. You can place the hoop inside the skirt to make it wide toward the bottom. This graceful outfit is topped with a pink and chiffon hat with a very roomy brim that is edged with a gold-trimmed frill. Perfect for keeping the sun in its place!
