Product Description
The Can Can is a fast-paced dance that evolved from the galop (think: the Overture from Rossini's William Tell) in the early 1800s. Back then individual dancers – even men – did the can can on the dance floor. Later in the century, it developed into a choreographed line dance with erotic overtones. Vive la Moulin Rouge! Can can dancers were famous for wearing outfits that showed a lot of undergarment, and ours is no exception.
The 1-piece dress is styled to look like a corset and skirt. The top has adjustable black spaghetti straps and red satin cups covered with black lace and accented with a small black satin bow. A black lace frill outlines the sweetheart neckline. The black bodice made of crushed velvet stretch has vertical seams with gleaming red piping at the front. The skirt is made of satin in bold black & red stripes with gleaming red bows at the sides. It is cut short at the front and cascades to calf-length at the back. It cascades because it is trimmed with a ruffle in three layers: black satin edged in red, black & red stripe, and black net trimmed in red. Simply sexy! Beneath the skirt you'll be wearing a short black petticoat with an elasticized waistline and a full ruffle of black net for lots of volume. Black fishnet pantyhose and black fingerless gloves draw attention to attractive arms and legs, and the extravagant red feathered head band is a lovely hair accent. A black choker with a red rhinestone at the center adds sparkle. Now lift that leg!
