In the early days of Carnival in Venice, the costume most people wore consisted of a black silk hood, a lace cape, a long cloak, a three-cornered hat, and a white mask that completely covered the wearer's face. The perfect outfit for roaming the streets incognito and experiencing all kinds of adventure.
This long Carnival in Venice III cloak is made of velvety fabric in solid wine red lined in antique gold. The cape and attached hood are edged in shiny gold, and the deep shoulder cape – which comes to a point at the front and the back – is trimmed with ornate gold braid. Four long, golden streamers are attached to the neck seam to give this cloak a very festive look. It fastens with a button and elastic loop at the throat. Length from shoulder seam to hem: approx. 148 cm.
