Some Roman legionaries and many gladiators were using vambraces to protect their forearms in battle as early as Antiquity. These black Roman Vambraces are approx. 5 mm thick and made of genuine leather. They are laced up with leather ties that you thread through riveted eyelets made of metal. To cushion blows and absorb moisture, an additional layer of soft suede has been riveted to both ends of the handcrafted vambraces. That makes these black Roman Vambraces both comfortable and robust!
