In ancient Japan, ninja stars were primarily used as a painful distraction for your opponent before the real battle started or you retreated without a fight. Depending on the region and school of martial arts, ninja stars have different shapes and numbers of blades. The hole at the center creates a distinctive whistling sound when the star is in flight – this often scares an opponent away.
Our ninja star is made of high quality foam surrounded by several layers of latex. This foam object was made without a rod at its core to allow you to throw it anywhere without risk of injury. It is approx. 11 cm. in diameter.
