ConQuest 2014

here we come!

With over 8000 participants, the ConQuest of Mythodea is the largest LARP event in the world. From August 6 – 10, 2014 epic battles, plots with a twist, boozy feasts and an atmosphere like no other in a newly renovated role playing world.

…LARPers to the yard. They’re all looking for fame, fortune, honor and a sizable adventure. And if there’s any place where these dreams become reality it’s at the legendary ConQuest LARP. Over 1000 quests and riddles promise huge entertainment for the plot-inclined, while the most violent of battles with elaborate effects get warring warrior and wizard hearts beating faster. If you want to dive head-first into a living fantasy world, take a stroll through the largest existing LARP city and relax in numerous taverns, dive bars, massage tents and bath houses, or do it up at the many stands and booths.

When night falls and all is aglow with the warm light of torches, lanterns and candles, and the day’s hectic activity gives way to the infamous Mythodea night life – including music, entertainers and dancing in all the taverns and wilding out til the wee small hours of the morning – you’ll never want to leave!

New World, New Fun!

Last year saw the end of a many-year campaign with players transitioning into a mirror world, which means there will be some changes both organizationally and content-wise. Previously the setting consisted of a huge tent city and scattered camps which led to space problems. This time around all mirror world camps will be integrated into so-called banners in newly designed campground. All players and NSCs benefit from this restructuring through shorter walkways, a much richer ambience and more space for even bigger battles on the surrounding fields. Zones of neutrality and security doors within the campground will ensure that warring camps don’t get at each others’ throats too easily. Of course, you don’t want to completely prevent such conflicts and risk losing all fun factor. Speaking of fun, the game master is using the start of the new campaign to introduce a new set of rules, which presents every player five disadvantages. You should see these changes as an exciting challenge to make your character even more compelling.
